I'm Marc Wilcox, and I am a Freelance Web and digital Designer based in Oxfordshire. I have over ten years experience, which I have gained from working with a wide range of clients from different sectors. From commercial to NGOs, such as BMW, Nikon and Oxfam.


I provide high quality digital applications and websites for all types of devices, working with the client and users to find the best approach for the end product. Although my focus is mainly on design, I do have technical knowledge to assist with the wider aspects of projects. I raw code sites, as well as use industry standard software. I like to work with the latest web compliant standards, and deliver good UX design.


I have taken on other roles within this industry, including web editor, plus have been involved in many development projects. Working on both sides of the fence, I understand what could be the best solution for each project, and can deliver within the timeframe.


I have worked with several agencies, so very experienced with an agency environment, from design to pitch to delivery. I can work on or off site, enjoy the challenge and love the diversity of projects.

What I do

Working with OS X and Windows environments, I use the latest Adobe software including: Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Indesign, Acrobat and Fireworks. I also use various other open source software and applications. I can write various web languages including: XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL and Actionscript to web compliances, now including HTML5 and CSS3.


I can consult on best-practice web standards for each project and communicate this to internal or external clients, in areas such as: accessibility, usability, digital media, UI/UX, plus HTML email marketing. I have been involved in many redesign and UI projects, brand/identity refresh and creation projects, and can take the lead in any aspect of the whole procedure.
